Best in Precast Concrete 2025

Walmart Campus - Coreslab (OK)
Some projects fit neatly into categories. This one doesn’t.

BestinPrecast TROPHY 2025
The Walmart Campus parking program in Bentonville, Arkansas, earned PCMAs Best in Precast Concrete 2025 by proving what happens when scale, speed, safety, and adaptability all show up at the same jobsite and decide to cooperate.

Built as a 10-deck, multi-use, multi-level precast system, the campus integrates parking, retail, cyclist amenities, backup power support, and below-grade truck access into one coordinated precast solution.

Why it won Best in Precast

This project is a blueprint for large-scale precast delivery because it combines:

1) A repeatable
Kit of Parts A standardized component strategy adaptable across all deck configurations, keeping fabrication consistent while still meeting site-specific requirements.

2) The Master Typical Set (MTS)
The Kit of Parts became the foundation for the architect’s Master Typical Set, appended across all decks. This reduced redundant documentation, accelerated approvals, enabled earlier fabrication release, and streamlined procurement and labor planning.

3) Measurable construction performance

  • 5,119 transported loads

  • 7,969 precast pieces set

  • 609 crane days

  • Zero reportable incidents + zero lost-time accidents

Precast scope (what was actually built)

Total precast components: 7,969

  • Double Tees: 4,265 units (3,127,880 SF)

  • Beams: 779 units (28,572 LF)
