The University of Houston Football Development Center is a state-of-the-art football operations and development facility serving as the primary hub for the Cougars’ football program. Encompassing roughly 125,000+ square feet, the center supports day-to-day team needs with spaces for training, nutrition, and operations, helping elevate preparation, performance, and program capabilities.


This project is part of broader improvements at TDECU Stadium, including a major new video board, premium seating upgrades (suites and club seats), and enhancements designed to modernize the fan experience and support year-round stadium operations.

Precast scope and components

Precast concrete was selected for the upgraded premium seating and supporting building components due to its ability to be installed quickly and minimize site disruption during active stadium operations.

  • 23 seating risers (40 ft)

  • 16 tub seating units (40 ft)

  • 30 wall panels (6″)

  • 10 flat slabs (6″)

  • 2 precast staircases


Schedule + coordination
  • Precast casting: March 18, 2024 → July 16, 2024

  • Precast erection: May 13, 2024 → February 14, 2025


Casting and erection overlapped to maintain momentum, and precast installation was strategically coordinated around other trades as needed.


Outcome

The completed work strengthens the University of Houston football program’s training and operational capabilities and contributes to broader stadium upgrades that support a modernized fan experience and a more versatile, year-round venue.
