BestinPrecast TROPHY 02

The Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion in Waco, Texas is the new home for Baylor University’s Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. The Pavilion is a state-of-the-art contemporary fieldhouse located along the banks of the Brazos River on the west side of Interstate 35. As a stop on the Riverwalk, the pavilion will be woven into the established traditions of the Waco community. Inside, fans will have direct access from the concourse to their seats, and will be closer to the action than ever before, creating a true home court advantage. (Men’s, 2024)

Stadiums and arenas are built with precast concrete because these projects require design versatility; resiliency to stand-up to heavy loads and traffic; and must be built quickly to meet tight deadlines. Precast concrete meets these challenges and provides value to all entertainment stakeholders.

The 7,000 fans will cheer from precast concrete, stadium-style, seating which was manufactured and produced by Heldenfels Enterprises. The scope of precast components in this sports center includes 158 Architectural Wall Panels, 221 Seating Risers, 26 Tubs, 18 Precast Stairs, and 13 Flat Slabs.

This sports center will be a cherished part of the Baylor University experience, and the intentional use of durable materials, such as precast concrete, will ensure this new sports pavilion stands the test of time.
