Katy Station Parking Garage
The Katy Station Parking Garage or the Katy METRO Park & Ride is a 600,000-square-foot parking structure located on the corner of I-10W and The Grand Parkway (S.H. 99).
The six-story, the precast structure contains 1,650 parking spots and two elevators for METRO Park and Ride. The structure features a 60-foot extruded canopy system that allows the commuter buses to come under covered parking while loading passengers. Construction began in March 2016 and was completed under an accelerated schedule in order for Katy METRO to begin servicing a rapidly growing population and alleviate insufficient parking experienced at the Park and Ride.
Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County’s (METRO) Grand Parkway Park and Ride is located on the northeast corner of Grand Parkway and I-10 West (Katy Freeway). Katy Station Parking Garage has 1,650 parking spaces for commuters. A dedicated bus lane on its west side is used for dropping off and picking up. METRO’s $21.1M project was built in 11 months and completed in February 2017
